Laboratory

All the products manufactured on site first start life in the laboratory.

A customer will either give us a formulation which they are currently using or an idea of what they would like and ask us to formulate a product which would suit their needs.

Every product is given its own laboratory requisition number, so it can be located at any time in the future.

When a new product has been approved a formulation and agreed specification will be given to production ready for when the product is ordered.

A new production reference number will then be issued along with a batch sheet (recipe card).

All products are quality controlled before leaving the premises.

Tests are generally laid down by the end customer and can include checks for strength, viscosity, colour development, gloss, transparency and many other properties.
